Dear Friends,
This is a good time to be reminded that Christmas is not a day, but a 12-day season, from Christmas Day on Dec 25 until January 5, the day before the Feast of the Epiphany. So don't pack up your Christmas decorations yet! It's also OK to defer your plans to eat healthier a little longer. Continue to enjoy those Christmas treats!
The gospel reading for this Sunday is from Matthew 1, which tells the Christmas story from Joseph's perspective. In my sermon, I will be reflecting on the words of the angel to Joseph in Matthew 1: “You shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Together, we’ll uncover the profound significance of this divine message and how it reveals the heart of God’s plan for salvation. Through Joseph’s faithful response, we’ll be reminded of the hope, redemption, and joy that the birth of Jesus brings to the world.
Come and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with us!
Fr Ken

The first three seasons of the Church Year combine to form a cycle of light.
Advent: In Advent we prepare for Christ’s coming with hope and light. Share traditions like Advent wreaths, reflections, and caroling to build relationships and share joy.
Christmas: In Christmas we celebrate Christ, our Light and Hope, by eating, sharing gifts, visiting the one's we love, and giving to the less fortunate.
Epiphany: Finally, in Epiphany, which is just around the corner, we mark Christ’s light for the world. He is the saviour of Israel, but also of the whole world.
