Speaking of the Holy Communion the writer to the Hebrews said, "We have an altar from which those who [serve in the temple] have no right to eat."   Hebrews 13:10

The early Church saw the Holy Eucharist as the pinnacle of Christian worship, a true offering to God, an instrument of God's grace and forgiveness, and a source of strength.
